Overview

We are growing our nursing team at Kalamazoo Behavioral Health Hospital as we add Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to our staff. We are looking for full-time, day shift nurses to join a fantastic team as we provide life-saving care to our patients and the community. KBBH offers inpatient psychiatric care for adults and geriatric patients with acute psychiatric diagnoses.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under general supervision and direction of the Registered Nurses and the Director of Nursing to:

  • Assess the needs of patients and initiate, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care.
  • Maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units.
  • Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and skills of personnel.

We are looking for exceptional talent who demonstrates compassion.  Must be passionate about quality patient care and serving high acute psychiatric patients. 

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required—graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program required.
Certification: A current, active LPN or LVN license in the state of Michigan is required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a behavioral healthcare or acute care setting preferred
