Medical Behavioral Hospital of Indianapolis is currently searching for a Plant Operations Manager for our psychiatric hospital in Greenwood, IN. The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects associated with the plant operations of the facility. Oversees the maintenance, housekeeping and the staff assigned to these departments. This position will direct the plant operations, maintenance, repair, mechanical systems and equipment for the facility. Oversees all aspects of the Safety Program and Environment of Care for the facility. Responsibility includes hands on with assisting with repairs as needed.

Education: High School diploma or GED required, BS preferred
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in EOC/LS, preferably in a hospital setting with management experience.
Valid drivers license required.
Ability to read and understand blueprints at a level normally acquired through completion of technical high school or up to six months of technical training beyond high school.
Progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain knowledge of equipment repair and to be able to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of mechanical equipment and machinery problems.
Typing/word processing skills.

Demonstrated management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge and awareness of CMS, Joint Commission, State Department of Health Department and Life Safety Code regulations.

Mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
Light plumbing, electrical, and drywall repair.
