Overview

NeuroPsychiatric Hospital of Indianapolis is looking for maintenance technician o serve our patients at our hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Our maintenance technicians are dedicated to service, ensuring the maintanance and repairof our hospital for our patients, staff, and visitors. The maintenance technician ensures that all of our hospitals are operating at full capacity in a safe and clean environment

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain HVAC equipment. Replace filters, clean coils, check operations.
  • Maintain / repair plumbing. Plunge / snake toilets, unplug drains, clean aerators, replace batteries in automatic faucets.
  • Maintain electrical systems. Replace light bulbs, broken receipts and broken covers, replace ballasts and sockets.
  • Inspect building grounds daily. Replace stained ceiling tiles, pick up trash, repair mechanical systems, and maintain landscape as needed.
  • Inspect rooms. Repair and paint drywall, repair and replace broken fixtures.
  • Conducts monthly fire drills in accordance to Joint Commission / Indiana State standards and complete proper documentation.
  • Conduct semi-annual disaster drills in accordance to Joint Commission / Indiana State standards and complete proper documentation.
  • Conduct monthly generator tests and complete proper documentation.
  • Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections and complete proper documentation.
  • Maintain proper documentation for testing of fire alarms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by CEO and Regional Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience: Two years of maintenance or repair experience is desired. We would love previous experience in a hospital setting, but this is a great opportunity for professionals that want to work in healthcare! 

Must be punctual, attentive to detail and dependable
